·Each cooking space will be limited to a 20’ x 24’ area. There will be room for your tent and one (1) vehicle parked beside it.

·Each cooking team shall have one person designated as PIT BOSS. The Pit Boss shall be the only person permitted to present during the judging process.

·All parts of your entry must be cooked on a grill or smoker. For the purpose of this contest, grills and smokers may be fueled by wood, charcoal, gas, or electricity. If you do plan on dropping off equipment ahead of time please let a member of the staff know.

·Categories:

Beef

Chicken

Pork

·The MAIN ingredient of your dish will determine the category it is entered into. Ex- if you cook bacon-wrapped chicken breasts, then your category is chicken, not pork, since chicken is the main ingredient. The "Everything Else" category will consist of any food not covered by the main categories. Examples of this would be vegetables, casseroles, other non-meat side dishes, pizzas, etc.

·How much food do you need to cook? Your "turn in" box should have enough of your entry for four judges to sample. If you're cooking a steak, then you don't need to send the judges four steaks. Four pieces of steak large enough for each judge to taste is the goal here. Remember the judges will be sampling every single entry, so sample portions should be small. All of the food not turned into the judges will be placed on tables for everyone to purchase or donate for everyone to enjoy.

·How many different categories can I enter? All of them! Feel free to enter as many different categories as you'd like. The more food the better! The only thing that we ask is that you keep it to one entry per category. Ex- you can't cook two beef dishes and enter both of them into the competition.

·Turn in for the competition is 1:00PM. This is a rule, not a guideline. Don't wait till the last minute to turn in your entries - all late entries will be disqualified.

·All food must be cooked on site. Meats can be prepped ahead of time by the use of dry rubs, marinades, trimming, etc - but all food must be cooked on-site on a grill or smoker.

·Who is eligible to win? Anyone who turns in an entry is eligible to win. After judging, trophies will be awarded to the best dish in each category along with “People’s Choice” trophy for the best dish of the competition.
